For part one, we need to focus our paper from Barker. As such and that I am focusing on economic issues, I will focus on an idea that has come from a Fordist paradigm of mass-production. Looking at the issue of mass produced beverages like Coca-Cola and bottled waters, I will explore how we can turn an economic monster into a resource for our community.
This is especially important because I must look at the praxis model two-fold. The first is locating an issue external of my congregation and the second is finding one internally. Externally there are issues of class and economic need plus the issue of the environment. Internally, the church struggles to find itself in terms of seeing and responding to needs. This combines the two issues from a Fordist machine into a tool for God. The practicality will center on recycling for rebuilding.
Sounds very interesting Brett – I’m eager to check it out!
